Patient Services

I am a registered nurse who has lived in Northern Michigan my whole life. My education consists of a RN degree from Butterworth Hospital school of nursing, and a bachelor of Science of Nursing degree from University of Michigan. My job history consists of working at Northern Michigan hospitals in Petoskey for 2 years, Antrim County Health department for 4 years and Munson Medical Center for 28 years. I am currently working at the Saginaw Veteran Affairs medical center (VA) as a patient care coordinator for outside VA care.

My role in volunteering with the Antrim county High Tea Breast Cancer prevention is working as a Patient Services Coordinator. This consists of being a liaison between the patient and the medical field if needed and assisting the patients and their families thru the breast cancer screening and/or treatment process.

I have 1 daughter and have been involved in all her activities as she was growing up like Girl Scouts, Rainbow Girls and various sports activities thru the years.  Currently I‘m a member of the Bellaire Eastern Stars, serving on the Rainbow Girls board as treasurer and the Awareness scholarship program thru the Eastern Sars and Masons. Worked for Munson Hospital and currently with Veterans hospital working as a liaison between patient and doctors coordinating appointments in accordance to insurance requirements.

Secretary

My wife Pat and I moved to Bellaire permanently in 2010. Soon after we moved, Pat (a five-time cancer survivor) was diagnosed with her second bout of breast cancer. She was put in touch with Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention. They helped us out so much that Pat and I decided to give back, so we both joined Antrim County High Tea for Breast Cancer Prevention to give back to other women and men of Antrim County. We have been helping out in many different capacities ever since.
